I have used “The Salve” for awhile now with great success on minor cuts, scrapes and even sweet itch! Recently I got to experience it’s amazing healing on a major injury. My horse was seriously injured on a wire fence and basically shaved the entire front of his leg off. The surgeon tried to reattach the skin but the skin was already dead. The leg was left open from knee to fetlock. After returning from the vet hospital I decided to try “The Salve”. With the help of the New Bolton Center vet, my local vet and the owner of “The Salve”, we developed a plan for wrapping his leg using “The Salve”. The results were amazing!! The vets were extremely worried about proud flesh and expected to need to debride the leg. “The Salve” prevented proud flesh from developing!! After 5 months, the wound is almost completely healed, just a tiny little sliver to go. The vets expected close to 8 months!  The new tissue is healthy and with continued use of “The Salve” on the new skin, we are expecting to regrow hair!! I won’t ever be without “The Salve” for my animals!!

Our thoroughbred, Tango had a deep tissue injury to the front of his fetlock which our vet had debrided to remove the dead tissue; leaving a gaping wound. After weeks of daily treatment with a commonly used OTC veterinary ointment, the wound was looking no better, and in fact getting worse.
